As the world’s populations grow older, Danish export of assisted living technologies and eldercare increases. Denmark has a long tradition for developing assisted living technologies and aids for elderly and handicapped citizens in close collaboration with users, their interest organizations, and care professionals.
In 2013, Danish export of telehealth was estimated at €2.7 billion ($3.2 billion), and the potential is even bigger as demand for patient-centered, intuitive, and interoperable solutions increase.
